Worship Service Schedule
Sundays at 8:00 a.m. – 1928 Book of Common Prayer; Scripture passages, one each from the Old and New Testament, are read to the congregation, as well as the Gospel, followed by a sermon and full communion.
Sundays at 10:30 a.m. – Rite I Holy Communion with organ and choir; This Eucharist is family friendly. It uses the 1979 Book of Common Prayer and is filled with hymns sung by a full choir (see about our choir below). The service concludes with the priest and acolytes recessing to a hymn. A nursery is available for 0–4-year-olds. Currently, this service streams live on Facebook, and is uploaded to YouTube and to our church website each week.

Children’s Church – Children ages 5 through 5th grade are invited to study a lesson focused on the current lectionary readings and enrichment activities during the sermon at the 10:30 service.
Organ and Choir – Christ Episcopal Church Chamber Choir is comprised of SFASU voice students and members of the church. The Chamber Choir and Organist traditionally offer up hymns from the Hymnal of the Episcopal Church. Both the Choir Director and Organist are professionals in their field and are committed to the musical excellence of the church.
In 1992, the church added the choir loft and organ and choir loft that we worship with today. The “tracker” pipe organ, manufactured by the M.P. Moller Organ Company of Maryland. It is equipped with a Great Organ, a Swell Organ and a Pedal Organ totaling 1,213 pipe combinations.
